'Connecting people through books and music' – to enhance engagement of communities in public space.
Public spaces play a vital role in the social and economic life of communities. New kinds of public spaces and meeting places are now being created in towns and cities, which can be an important social resource. Books and music brings people together Ethnocentrism and cultural misunderstanding can have a negative effect upon our society. Reading, sharing and enjoying music with others is inherently social and allows us to see and communicate our differences in a safe and enjoyable environment.
This project is to explore the idea of creating community engagement space through books or music within the built environment in APW Bangar. The aim of this proposal is to promote public connection activities and experiences through books and music into daily lives.
